Welcome back!

It was wonderful to welcome back some of the children in June. We can’t wait to see the rest of you and some new friends in September. Please have a look at some of the changes we’ve introduced to help keep everyone safe. Enormous thanks to everyone at Eastwick Road Church for allowing us to continue to use the hall and for their ongoing support.

Peter Pan Playschool Open Day

To celebrate our 25th birthday, we would like to invite all Peter Pan families past, present (and future!) to pop in to a special Saturday playschool session on Saturday 24th March, 1-3pm.

Playschool will be set out with all the favourite activities you remember with a few tweaks and added extras so that children of all ages can have a play – it is the perfect excuse to have a go with the playdoh!

There will be birthday biccies, craft activities, construction challenges, our most popular toys will be out and there will be lots of fun in our gorgeous garden.

It will be a lovely chance to re-live some memories and to catch up with staff and old friends and to see all the fab changes which have taken place at playschool in recent years.

To book a slot to come and join the fun, visit www.volunteersignup.org/L4KBC  – you should be able to see who has signed up for each slot so that you can book for the same time as some of your playschool pals!

Please share with any Peter Pan families you know

If you have any photographs or memories of your child’s time at Peter Pan, please let us know – we’d love to create a ‘Peter Pan through the years’ display for everybody to enjoy.

Nativity & Christmas Party December 2016

The Peter Pan Nativity Play on 14th December was a triumph with all the children joining in and delivering some oscar-worthy performances! After their impressive efforts (and those of the staff), the children enjoyed a wel learned lunch with their friends whilst their families enjoyed some mince pies and coffee.

We raised a whopping £611.65 from the Christmas party this year, largely down to the highly successful Bookham & Fetcham Hamper Raffle. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Elizabeth Daly (one of our lovely staff members) for giving up so much of her time and energies to visit local businesses and persuade them into donating so many generous prizes for our hampers. Thank you also to those committee and staff members who also helped out with sourcing all the vouchers and goodies. The prizes for the Bookham & Fetcham Hamper were 2 stunning hampers; the first worth over £300 and the second worth over £100. These were won by Renata and Louise respectively; we hope they enjoyed (and are probably still enjoying!) all the goodies and vouchers.

The families at Peter Pan Playschool would like to thank all those local businesses that supported us – without your generosity, we would not have the funds to pay for craft resources and other equipment which greatly benefits the children who attend Peter Pan. We will be supporting your businesses whenever we can throughout the year! In particular, we’d like to thank:

  • Fetcham Tandoori
  • The Co-operative (both the branches at the top and bottom of the High Street!)
  • Fine Fettle
  • Beauty Solaire
  • Wishing Well
  • Brackenbury’s
  • Boots (both Bookham & Fetcham branches)
  • Diamond Nail Bar
  • Old Habits
  • Ken Davey butchers
  • Carolina’s Café
  • Bookham Tandoori
  • Wavelengths Hair Salon
  • Ron Fowler & Son Fishmongers
  • Granary Crafts
  • Domestique Cycle Café
  • Michael’s Fish Bar
  • Greenwise Café & Shop
  • Skin & Tonic
  • Cavendish French
  • Indigo Stripes
  • Kim’s Café
  • Head Office
  • Celedon Thai Restaurant
  • No Strings Badminton @ Leatherhead Leisure Centre
  • The Vineries Garden Centre
  • Dobbe’s Garden Centre

Finally, a huge thank you goes to Kerrie Adams for all her efforts to secure prizes for our main raffle, to the families at Peter Pan for donating lots of lovely prizes, to the staff for their hard work and enthusiasm and to all those who helped to make the Nativity and Christmas Party such a success. Thank you.

Nativity Play 2015

Every single child attending Peter Pan Playschool took part in the Nativity Play from start to finish this year – a record!  The play was a triumph with some Oscar-worthy talent on display and it provided all the parents with happy memories to cherish and regale our children with on their 18th birthdays.  Many thanks to the staff for all their patience and hard work with the play, with helping the children to produce all their beautiful Christmas craft and just generally – it is much appreciated.
